


SEAFARERS’ SUNDAY
This Sunday, 25th July is Seafarers’ Sunday, there will be a special collection at all Masses to support the Seafarers Mission. Funds raised will go towards the Apostolate of the Sea, those working and offering support to the many people whose work involves sea travel and leaving behind families and friends for weeks and months of the year. Please talk to Deacon Patrick Moore if you would like to know more about this ministry.
PARISH RECORDS UPDATE
It has recently come to our attention that many details on our data base are no longer current. If you have not already done so, please complete the yellow form provided in last week’s bulletin so that the parish records can be updated. Spare copies are in the foyer. We request that all parishioners over the age of 18 complete a form.
QUIZ NIGHT
The tickets for the Quiz Night to be held on the 14th August will be on sale after
all Masses this weekend, at $10 per head. So book your tables (up to 10 people)
and come and join us in this worthy fund-
We are still asking for donations of quality items for our hampers, e.g. wine, chocolates, dried fruits & nuts, toiletries, perfume, candles, pot plants or gift vouchers. A box will be provided in the foyer of the Church, or larger items may be left at the Parish Office. For further information see the poster in the foyer. Thank you for your support.

HALL USE
In the past, our Parish Council and the Hall Committee made many attempts to open the Parish Hall to wider use. Over a period longer than a year we held many meetings and made many calls for help. Unfortunately we were not successful. Therefore our Hall is used only for parish and school functions providing these do not conflict with our regular activities in the church, hall and parish offices. Xavier House is available for small group functions, please direct your enquiries to the Parish Office regarding its availability.
SAINT VINCENT DE PAUL STREET APPEAL
St Vincent De Paul will be conducting the 2010 Street Appeal on Friday, 17th September. We will be asking for volunteers to assist with this task so could you please mark your diaries now and keep some time free on that day to help us. The roster will be available in August.
