XAVIER SCHOOL NEWS

We welcomed everyone back to school this week for Term 3, including 5 new students and their families, as well as Miss Jessica Csikos as the Year 2 class teacher replacing Mrs Keogh who is on leave. From listening to the holiday recounts and stories around the classrooms on Tuesday morning, it sounds as though there were many fun adventures, trips and quality family times during the mid-year break. If the great start to Term 3 is any indication, we are in for an excellent term of hard work.

The 21st Annual Performing Arts Festival for Catholic Schools and Colleges began this week with an opening Mass attended by Mr Munro and the Arts Councillors. The School Choir will be performing at 12.45 pm next Wednesday, 28th July at St Benedict’s Church in Applecross.  All welcome for a gold coin donation upon entry. The Folk Band will be performing at 1.00 pm on Tuesday, 3rd  August at the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre in Thornlie. Entry fee:  $4 Adults; Children $3. The Rock Band will be performing at 7.00pm on Tuesday, 3rd August at Prendiville Catholic College in Edgewater.  Entry fee: Adults $6.00, Children $3.00. The Dance Troupe will be performing their Creative Dance at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre on the evening of Thursday, 26th August.  Tickets are NOW AVAILABLE: $20 Adults & $14 Students.
